There are a number of hotels in Kingman, Arizona, but if you're visiting on a trip Kingman Route 66 road, you have to stay in a motel Route 66. When we arrived at the Hill Top Motel we immediately knew we were in the perfect location. The first thing that greeted us was neon Classic Hill Top Motel bright red and green sign. It looks exactly like hotels roadside from films of the 1950s and 60s, history and park right outside your door. Of course, it would have been more authentic if we were driving a Ford Thunderbird.

Hill Top Motel Room Route 66 Things to Do in Kingman Arizona

Hill Top Motel motel, inexpensive to this, so do not expect luxury accommodations. While not luxury, the rooms are spacious, clean, and deliciously retro. The rooms have block walls and wooden panels decorated with southwestern art. Our room had a comfortable bed, a table for two, and a microwave and refrigerator. Outside was a pool, if the weather was too cold to take a bath. As we were traveling with our dogs, we were happy that the hotel Kingman has a pet policy.

The Hill Top Motel is located right on Highway 66 a short distance from the center of town, which means it is nice and quiet. The hotel has panoramic views of the Hualapai Mountains. Kingman is a city like Route 66, this means that the train comes through the city, but the tracks are quite far from the hotel as the train noise does not bother at all, but rather provides, relaxing white noise genre of rumble.

Hill Top Motel Pool and View Route 66 Things to Do in Kingman Arizona

Another great thing about the Hill Top Motel is that it is family owned and run. Be sure to take a moment to talk to the owner Dennis Schroeder and Schroeder Herberta. They will tell you about the area and offer a lot of great things to see, not only in Kingman, but along the road and 66. Herberta is a photographer with a gift for photography Lightning (you can see some of his pictures on his website Images Windswept ), and it also creates postcards featuring Kingman Route 66.

If you have time, we suggest you stay in Kingman for two nights so you can spend a whole day experiencing all the things to do in Kingman, then full day to enjoy all the stops Kingman Route 66 past the next day.

Thanks Go Kingman to host the Kingman part of our trip along Route 66 and making it possible post. As always, all opinions are my own.
